Tintern In Person & Online - Join us this Sunday for an in-person service at 9:45 am. We will also be broadcasting a livestream on our website starting at 9:45 am. Masks are optional. If you have been exposed or are showing symptoms of COVID, please remain at home.

To watch live on our website click here https://www.tinternchurchofchrist.ca/watch. It will go live about 9:40 Sunday morning. You can always find us on Tintern's YouTube channel as well (https://www.youtube.com/user/tinterncofc).

Baptism News - While at Camp Manitou earlier this month, Ben Whitfield was baptized. We are excited for Ben and the Whitfield family. Ben, welcome to our community of faith!

Baby News - Shaun and Samantha Whitehead welcomed Corina Elizabeth Grace yesterday (August 10). She is 7 lbs 14 oz. Caleb and Kinsley are excited to have a baby sister!

Ask, Listen, Discern, Action - Join us at the building every Sunday morning at 8:30am as we seek direction from God toward building intentional relationships in our local community.

Clear Your Calendar September - We invite the whole congregation to join us as we clear our calendars for the month of September. We will be intentional about only filling our calendar with time spent in our community. We will spend our time in Lincoln’s outdoor spaces, restaurants, coffee shops, library, community centers, volunteer opportunities, sporting events to seek out intentional conversations. We want to slow down enough that we have time to engage in conversations with our neighbours in Lincoln. Let’s see if God leads us to our next steps through these conversations.

Teacher/ Helpers Needed in Children's Education Ministry - It’s teacher and helper drive time! We’re looking for teachers and helpers for our Children’s Education Ministry for the fall, winter and spring quarters. The big obnoxious sign up board is in the hallway outside the children’s wing. If you have any questions, speak to Crystal Cann. Thank you in advance!

Fellowship Coordinator - We are looking for someone who can create a team that will organize Tintern's 3 or 4 potlucks each year. If you are interested please speak to either Russ Walker or Margaret Ayala. Public Health has indicated that we can return to potlucks.

A/V Ministry - We are looking for someone (or a small group of people) to coordinate Audio / Visual Ministry here at Tintern. The role would be involved in scheduling volunteers to help at the back of the auditorium during worship as well as facilitate the livestream broadcast on Sunday mornings and the posting of a sermon recording. Training is available. Contact Noel if you are interested in helping out. Thanks.

Monthly Kids Challenge - Congratulations to Elet for winning the draw in July!
This is going to be our last Kid's challenge for right now. It's been fun! In our Grades 2-3 and 4-5 classes they're learning about wisdom all month. Your challenge is to share with us some wisdom. It can be some wisdom you have or ask someone for their best piece of wisdom. To be entered in the draw comment on the Facebook post on the Tintern Kid's Facebook page, tell your Sunday school teacher or tell Miss. Crystal some wisdom. The draw will take place on August 28th.

Sunday School Picnic - Remember to save the date on Sunday August 28th at 3:30. We will be gathering on the church lawn for fun and games for all ages. More information to come soon but hope everyone can make it!

Wedding Shower - Julie Walker and Kerri Kennedy invite you to a wedding shower for Emily Whitfield on Sunday September 25th from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the building for the ladies. Julie and Kerri are collecting money for a group gift. Here is the link for Emily's registration at The Knot  https://www.theknot.com/us/emily-whitfield-and-benjamin-shore-oct-2022/registry

Being His Hands - Friends and Family, we are so thankful for your ongoing support, especially during some of the challenges we have been facing in the pandemic. No matter what happens each day though, God is still demonstrating His love and inviting people into His Kingdom. We hope you'll enjoy this new report (several months worth!). The last few months have been a busier season for us. Please don't hesitate to contact us personally. Grace and peace - Osbornes & Akahoshis
