Intergenerational Midweek Bible Study - Last night we continued with our new way of studying the Bible together. Kids in Kindergarten up to Grade 8 have an opportunity to share a Bible story with the adult class after which we will have a chance to ask each other questions and do some follow up activities. It is a chance for us to help each other learn about God and learn about the kids in our congregation. If you haven't joined us you are encouraged to join us next Wednesday evening. Contact Noel for more details.

Niagara Christian Gleaners
  1. We were once again able to load another sea container full of food aid this past Tuesday. This one is destined for Ukraine through our trusted distribution partners, Barnabas Aid (https://www.barnabasaid.org/us/). Although the war in Ukraine may not be getting as much media attention as before, the hardship for many people is very real. Our partner requested mostly dehydrated potatoes on this shipment, which we were able to readily provide.
  2. We're making plans for this year's Fundraising Dinners. The dates are Friday, 5 April 2024 and Saturday, 6 April 2024. The heart of Niagara Christian Gleaners are the volunteers. This special weekend of dinners is unique because of how much we need each other. As an important fundraiser for NCG's Operating Costs, we love the idea of keeping our dinner costs at a minimum by utilizing the gifts of at least 120 volunteers. Last year we hosted over 600 guests who enjoyed a hot and hearty meal while hearing  about what the Lord is doing through the ministry of Niagara Christian Gleaners. We need your help. Please check out the signup link below and think about where you can help us out. The job details, including times, dress code etc. are all in the signup. Thanks for considering.
  3. Volunteering is by means of the online signup. Please consider helping us out by clicking on our signup link. Two simple steps and you're signed up!
    1) Click this link: https://signup.com/go/jFcJorb
    2) Review the options listed and choose the spot(s) you like.
Convos Youth Zone - I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a good start to the new year. As we start the new year lots of change is happening at Convos. As you may have heard we have decided to hit pause. We still do not know if this is a temporary or permanent pause. As a board we decided with not having consistent funds, a location to hold programs, and the number of youth attending decreasing with the high school moving, we need to reevaluate where Convos is headed.

We don't have all the answers. We know that people still need Jesus. We know there are still needs to be filled. But, we are praying about what our role is. As of right now we are connecting with our key partners, as well as putting together a committee. If you have a heart for outreach we would love to hear from you. We are putting a committee together of those interested in vision casting for what "Convos" could be. We ask you to pray. Pray earnestly that God gives us wisdom and direction.

I understand that you may have many questions. We will try our best to answer them the best we can. We thank you. Thank you for your prayers. Thank you for your support. Thank you for your encouragement. All that has been done in and through this mission so far could not have happened without the support of people like you.

Male-Voice Audience Psalm/Hymn Sing  - All men are invited to a male audience psalm/hymn sing, the Lord willing, on Saturday, February 3 at 7:00PM at Maranatha Free Reformed Church, 1114 Old Mohawk Rd, Ancaster, ON.  Whether you sing tenor, bass or just enjoy singing the melody of songs, you will enjoy this event.  A beautiful collection of psalms & hymns will be sung. The evening will be directed by Herman den Hollander and accompanied by Tjeerd Klaver on the organ.  A free-will offering will be taken for the Niagara Christian Gleaners (Smithville) and Ontario Christian Gleaners (Cambridge).  Looking forward to seeing you there.  If you have any questions, contact hdenhollander@yahoo.com.
