Mud Season - With the wet and/or snowy weather coming, the parking lot becomes muddy! Please wipe off your shoes when you enter the building on the mats provided. Parents, encourage your children to do the same. Also, the exit door at the back of the Fellowship Hall is not an entry door. There are no mats there to remove mud/dirt/snow from shoes. Please re-enter through the main doors. Thank you!
Congratulations - We congratulate Erkia & Naythan on the announcement that they are engaged! God is good!!

CCWN Christmas Hamper & Angel Program - Tintern has joined with CCWN to provide Christmas gifts and gift cards for those who are needing support. If you would like to participate please take a tag or two from the Christmas tree in the front foyer. Please do not wrap items. However, donations of gift bags and tissue paper are gladly appreciated. ALL items must be returned to the Christmas tree by Wednesday December 3. Thank you for helping Tintern Give More in 2025!!
Safe Families Niagara - There are three ways that Safe Families Niagara has reached out for help.
- Are you already connected with a family in Niagara? If so, consider having them join you for your Christmas meal or join them over the holidays to create special memories.
- Safe Families Niagara would like to bless the 50 families they serve with a warm Christmas dinner. Perhaps you could donate 10 lb bags of potatoes, Costco sized bags of frozen vegetables, funds to purchase meat OR willing hands to prepare and deliver meals in mid December.
- There are tags on the Christmas tree in the front lobby for gift cards. Take one (or two) and bring them back no later than Wednesday December 3rd.
Great Lakes Christian High School -
- Friday November 28th 8:00 am-1:00 pm Students are welcome to Experience a Day as a Great Lakes Laker! (lunch provided). To Register: Click here. Begin applying as early as Grade 7!
- Excitement is building as our students prepare to bring Sherlock Holmes to the stage! With clever dialogue and mysterious twists this production promises to entertain audiences of all ages. Mark your calendars and join us for a night, or afternoon, of intrigue and fun on December 5 and 6. To purchase tickets, visit bit.ly/GLSherlock.
Call Out to Bakers - Great Lakes is planning to sell trays of assorted cookies and squares at the Great Lakes play, Sherlock Homes, on Dec. 5th and 6th as a fundraiser. We would love to get volunteers to make and donate cookies and/or squares for us to sell. Funds for this fundraiser will go towards several initiatives ($ to student council for banquet tickets, purchasing tables for the gym, helping out with $2000 for the Winter Retreat, and creating exam packages for the dorm students). Please let Suanne Whitfield (SuanneWhitfield@hotmail.com) if you are willing to bake a dozen or more for this fundraiser. Baked goods will be needed on Thursday, Dec. 4th. Baking should be nut free. Thank you!
Ruth Zimmerman - On Sunday December 28, during adult class time, Ruth will be bringing us a presentation on her work in Papua New Guinea.
Attention, Seniors! - Would you be interested in renewing a regular (e.g., monthly) gathering at Tintern for fellowship, good food, and even better conversation? These gatherings ended with the pandemic, and because they were such a source of encouragement, some of us “oldies but goodies” are wondering if we might give them a new start in the new year! So, the first step is to determine the level of interest. To that end, would you please send a message to Phyllis at swmbo67@gmail.com by December 1 to indicate your interest? This will allow for time to plan for the year to come. Let’s continue to encourage one another!
Volunteer Opportunities - West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is looking for new volunteers. Men or women. Opportunities abound. If interested please click here to go to the auxiliary web site for details and to sign up. It would be so appreciated even if you could volunteer once a week for a few hours. The new hospital is currently on schedule to open Monday November 24, 2025. If you would like more information please talk to Linda M.
Christmas Caroling - Mark your calendars for Friday Night Connect on December 12th, when we will join the families from Your Preschool Inc at our building to sing Christmas carols together. Singing starts at 6:30 with refreshments to follow. This is a great way to meet the families that call our building, "school"!
Picture Bulletin Board - Thanks to those that have sent in their new pictures. New pictures are on the bulletin board with more to come. Margaret is still collecting family pictures to update our picture bulletin board.
Nonperishable Items - For the month of November, we are collecting spices, condiments, baking ingredients and cooking oil. All non-perishable items gladly accepted! When you bring in donations or make donations of food you are helping to make a difference!
Participation - If you would like to participate in A/V ministry, song leading, praying, sharing communion thoughts, reading scripture, family time announcements or teaching/ helping in the Sunday School/Wednesday night program, please reply to this email or speak to Noel, Megan or Margaret.
