CCWN - This is our one and only community-wide FOOD DRIVE held annually for the past 34 years and we could use your help. Many people do not realize the extent of hunger’s reach in our community. 2024 is continuing to be difficult for many due to interest rates, cost of housing, and inflationary pressures. Any help with promoting the event and getting the word out to give, donate, or volunteer would be very appreciated.

Year after year we require over 200 volunteers to successfully gather, product sort, date sort, and deliver 25-30,000 lbs. of non-perishable food items to the CCWN warehouse for the low income families we serve. Volunteer Registration is live on our website, you can sign up as an individual or as a team. Volunteers will be provided with snacks and lunch. Please consider coming out and being part of this fun community day and support those who need our help throughout the whole year!

Food Drive Sorting will take place on Saturday, September 21st at 8:30 am at Great Lakes Christian High School.
Road Crews will go out and pick up from the doorsteps of homes within the limits of Vineland Jordan, Beamsville and Campden.

We are looking for volunteers from Tintern to assist with flyers and signage in Campden ahead of the days event. We are also looking for those who can volunteer for a road crew on September 21st for one of the local neighbourhoods. Please see Lori H if you are able to volunteer.

Save the Date - Noel and Julie W will be hosting a wedding reception for Megan and Devin at the church building on Friday, September 27th at 7pm. All are invited.

Donations for Camps - Donations for Camp Omagh and/or Strawberry Point Christian Camp can be made to Tintern. Mark your cheques or e-transfers (in the memo line) for which camp in particular you would like to support. Cheques or eTransfers not marked will go towards the General collection. With our partnership with Church of Christ Development Corporation (our mortgage holder), your donations will be matched - so you can double your impact!

Giving More in 2024“Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.”  Isaiah 58:10  For the month of September we are going to continue with our "back to school" theme. Everyone is invited to bring in school safe snacks. Also, let's think of our friends with food allergies/sensitivities (nut, peanut, dairy, gluten free). While you are out grocery shopping for your family see what you can find.  Any non-perishable items gladly accepted!

Participation - If you would like to participate in A/V ministry, song leading, praying, sharing communion thoughts, reading scripture, family time announcements or teaching/ helping in the Sunday School/Wednesday night program, please reply to this email or speak to NoelMegan or Margaret

Niagara Christian Gleaners - Niagara Christian Gleaners is an amazing, volunteer based ministry. We’d like you to consider getting involved and to come and join our army of volunteers.
