Prayers - For Tintern's prayer list, check out our website www.tinternchurchofchrist.ca. The "Prayer Hub" button (top right corner or click here) is where you will find our list of prayers. You can also add prayers.

Please send your submissions for the eBulletin to tinternchurchofchrist@gmail.com.

Livestream - To join the livestream on Sunday's at 9:45am, click on the following YouTube link:  https://www.youtube.com/user/TinternCofC

Mud Season - With the wet and/or snowy weather coming, the parking lot becomes muddy! Please wipe off your shoes when you enter the building on the mats provided. Parents, encourage your children to do the same. Also, the exit door at the back of the Fellowship Hall is not an entry door. There are no mats there to remove mud/dirt/snow from shoes. Please re-enter through the main doors. Thank you!

Participation - We’re always grateful for the many ways our Tintern family contributes, and we love finding new opportunities to serve together. If you’re not currently involved, we’d encourage you to prayerfully consider how you might take part. If you’re interested in helping with A/V, song leading, praying, communion thoughts, scripture reading, family time announcements, or teaching/assisting in Sunday School or Wednesday nights, we’d love to hear from you! Please reply to this email or speak to Noel, Megan or Margaret.

Attention, Seniors! - Would you be interested in renewing a regular (e.g., monthly) gathering at Tintern for fellowship, good food, and even better conversation? These gatherings ended with the pandemic, and because they were such a source of encouragement, some of us “oldies but goodies” are wondering if we might give them a new start in the new year! So, the first step is to determine the level of interest. To that end, would you please send a message to Phyllis at swmbo67@gmail.com to indicate your interest? This will allow for time to plan for the year to come. Let’s continue to encourage one another!

Tintern Directory - Margaret is working on updating the directory. Please let her know if there are any changes to your page. Send her an email with the changes.

Special Collection for Jamaica – Further to Cindy W’s announcement, if you would like to contribute to the special collection for Jamaica you can do so by giving cash to Joanne M or sending her an e-transfer (be sure to type in “Jamaica” in the message box). If you have any questions, reach out to Joanne.

Philippines Disaster Relief - Beamsvile CofC is collecting donations to send to the Philippines for disaster relief. Blankets, used clothing (kids and adults), toys, coloring books, pots and pans, raincoats, vitamins, meds for coughs and colds, canned foods, any kind of kitchen items, etc. Many people are rebuilding from nothing after their houses have been destroyed. Preferably items can be taken to Beamsville CofC or brought to Tintern. Please label anything that you are donating for this. Money to purchase additional items is also welcome. For more information contact Jenny Perry.

CCWN Christmas Hamper & Angel Program - A HUGE thank you to everyone that participated. Each gift makes a difference to someone in our community!!

Safe Families Niagara - Here are a couple of ways that Safe Families Niagara has reached out for help.
  1. Are you already connected with a family in Niagara? If so, consider having them join you for your Christmas meal or join them over the holidays to create special memories.
  2. Safe Families Niagara would like to bless the 50 families they serve with a warm Christmas dinner. Perhaps you could donate 10 lb bags of potatoes, Costco sized bags of frozen vegetables, funds to purchase meat OR willing hands to prepare and deliver meals in mid December.
Safe Families Niagara Gift Tags - Again THANK YOU to everyone that participated and purchased gift cards. Tim from Safe Families picked them up this morning and was very appreciative. We also donated to Safe Families Niagara the fleece blankets that the kids tied together at BDC.

Great Lakes Christian High School -  Our teens would love to see you support them in their play this year! Showtimes are Dec 5 at 7pm and Dec 6 at 2pm and also 7pm. You can buy tickets at the door or   reserve online at https://bit.ly/GLSherlock Tickets are $10 for Adults, $5 for ages 6-17, and free for kids 5 and under.

Call Out to Bakers - Great Lakes is planning to sell trays of assorted cookies and squares at the Great Lakes play, Sherlock Homes, on Dec. 5th and 6th as a fundraiser. We would love to get volunteers to make and donate cookies and/or squares for us to sell. Funds for this fundraiser will go towards several initiatives ($ to student council for banquet tickets, purchasing tables for the gym, helping out with $2000 for the Winter Retreat, and creating exam packages for the dorm students). Please let Suanne Whitfield (SuanneWhitfield@hotmail.com) if you are willing to bake a dozen or more for this fundraiser. Baked goods will be needed on Thursday, Dec. 4th. Baking should be nut free. Thank you!

The Great Holiday Food Drive- December 12th marks the 5th annual Region Wide Great Holiday Food Drive. Filling bags, barrels and busses never felt so good. Over the past few years many are facing challenges they never imagined possible. Job insecurity, the inability to provide basic needs for family, choosing between rent or food. From young families to the elderly living alone no one should go hungry. This year we are spreading holiday joy across all of Niagara. Every donation is important, every can and dollar make a difference. With your help we can make sure every child experiences holiday magic and no one goes hungry. Come on Niagara, it’s time to fill the sleigh… and feel good!
