September 22, 2022 eBulletin

Join us this Sunday for in-person service at 9:45 am. Masks are optional. If you are showing symptoms of COVID, please remain at home.

Making Space in September - This week over dinner with your family or over coffee with a friend, can you start a conversation about what it could look like to be intentional about leaving space for our neighbours?

A few ideas to get you started
-Can we give up TV for the month?
-Can we have our morning coffee on the front porch?
-Can we give up 1 of our 21 meals each week to have a meal with a neighbour?
-Can we delete our social media apps for the month?
-Can we sign up for the community care food drive?

We would love to hear the creative ways you come up with to make space and activities you plan for time in our community.

Celebration of Thanks - Celebration of Thanks is Sunday October 2. There is a sign up for food at the back of the auditorium. Thank you to everyone who has already signed up and/or made a donation. Take a look at the whiteboard and if you haven't already, sign up for two dishes as soon as possible. We will have many visitors with us. We are asking people to let us know if they plan to attend (including anyone that you invite, email Margaret at office@tinternchurchofchrist.ca). Be sure to label any containers that you bring. Any questions see Bethany Wirkkunen bwirkkunen@yahoo.ca or Margaret.

Wedding Shower - Julie Walker and Kerri Kennedy invite you to a wedding shower for Emily Whitfield on this Sunday September 25th from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the building for the ladies. Julie and Kerri are collecting money for a group gift. Here is the link for Emily's registration at The Knot  https://www.theknot.com/us/emily-whitfield-and-benjamin-shore-oct-2022/registry

Missions Committee - You are invited to a Missions Committee meeting on Wednesday, September 28 at 8:15 p.m. at the church building. We will commit to meeting for one hour or less. We hope to see new faces!  Attendance is not a commitment, but an opportunity to see what being on the missions committee entails so you can consider being part of the missions committee. If you would like to participate but cannot attend in person, let us know and we will send you a link to join us virtually. Please send a message to Don (don.rose@glchs.ca) and/or Jeremy (Jeremy.Cook@Lifemark.ca) if you have any questions or to let us know you will join us.

Niagara Gleaners - Please read the attached letter from the Niagara Gleaners. They are doing awesome work and it's exciting that they already need to expand their building! A printed copy will be posted on the bulletin board outside the offices.

Be a Good Neighbour - Remember to check in with family, friends and neighbours. Also, local food banks are increasingly in need of food. Watch out for info regarding food drives in your area.
