- Goldie Whitehead (sister to Ruby F and Lawrence W, mother of Jamie W) passed away September 20. Click here to read her obituary. Her funeral was on September 26 at the Thessalon Church of Christ.
- Lillian (Clint) Barnes (mother to Suzanne Knutson and aunt to Earl Clint) age 98, passed away on September 22, 2024. Click here to read her obituary. Her funeral service will take place on September 28.

Alumni & Friends Weekend - September 27-29, 2024 - Join us for a weekend of fellowship, fun, and celebration at Great Lakes Alumni & Friends Weekend, open to all alumni, friends, and supporters! This event isn’t just for graduates; it’s for anyone with a connection to our school and its mission.
The weekend will be packed with activities, including badminton and pickleball tournaments, the Laker BBQ, and the Homecoming Banquet, where we’ll honor Martha (May) Wells as our Alumna of the Year. There will be opportunities to reconnect with friends, enjoy worship together, and celebrate the legacy and future of Great Lakes. Mulch - Safe Tree Inc is giving away mulch in return for a donation to FEED Niagara of either nonperishable food or funds on October 3 & 4th. Rescue Sunday - On October 20 Beamsville will have a special video presentation about how God saved Ruth Z and a team from Highland Church of Christ (Memphis, TN) from a boat accident.
Song Leaders' Workshop with Murray Hibbard at St. Catharines Church of Christ on November 2, 2024. We invite men and women who want to enhance their song leading skills and/or encourage young song leaders and young people who would like to explore song leading as an avenue of service. 15th Annual Lynn Fee Team Pumpkin Food Drive! - Kicking off September 20th, and running until October 20th, once again, we're excited to partner with Hildreth Farms in support of Community Care of West Niagara and the Grimsby Benevolent Fund. Drop off your non-perishable food items or make a cash donation to support these amazing causes at Hildreth Farms (5529 Greenlane, Beamsville). As a thank you, you'll receive a FREE pumpkin! Your contributions make a huge difference in our community.
Donations for Camps - Donations for Camp Omagh and/or Strawberry Point Christian Camp can be made to Tintern. Mark your cheques or e-transfers (in the memo line) for which camp in particular you would like to support. Cheques or eTransfers not marked will go towards the General collection. With our partnership with Church of Christ Development Corporation (our mortgage holder), your donations will be matched - so you can double your impact!
Giving More in 2024 - “Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.” Isaiah 58:10 Together we can make a big difference. This is the last Sunday in September to bring in school safe snacks. Also, let's think of our friends with food allergies/sensitivities (nut, peanut, dairy, gluten free). While grocery shopping for your family see what you can find. Any non-perishable items gladly accepted!
Participation - If you would like to participate in A/V ministry, song leading, praying, sharing communion thoughts, reading scripture, family time announcements or teaching/ helping in the Sunday School/Wednesday night program, please reply to this email or speak to Noel, Megan or Margaret.
Niagara Christian Gleaners - Niagara Christian Gleaners is an amazing, volunteer based ministry. We’d like you to consider getting involved and to come and join our army of volunteers.
