  2. Bless Omagh Day - This will be a time to pray as we walk the campus as a group or individually. Weather won't be stopping us, so come on! Remember, at this time of year, nothing on campus is open. There is no running water, no seating, etc. So bring your own if you need it. Restroom facilities will be available at the Omagh church building from 9:30-9:50am (you can also stop somewhere along the way like McDonald's at James Snow Pkwy exit) and immediately following our time at camp, from 11-11:30am. This is a casual, non-work/non-play event, rain or shine. Just come and join your voice and heart to ask God for his guidance and blessing.
GL Community Service Day - Every spring, our school eagerly anticipates Community Service Day (May 8), a day dedicated to serving those in need within our community. On this day, our students and staff join forces to assist non-profit organizations, church groups, and elderly individuals who require support. Tasks range from spring cleaning and yard work to washing windows, mulching gardens, cleaning vehicles, and painting porches. Funds raised by our students and staff are used to "sponsor" the day's activities and are dedicated to addressing a need identified by the students and administration within the school. This year, we aim to raise $20,000. To donate https://www.canadahelps.org/.../great-lakes.../p2p/CSD-2024/

WAVES Luncheon - The Hospitality and Tourism class at GL invites the WAVES to lunch at the school on Tuesday, May 7 at 12:30 p.m. This is part of their year-end project, and they would like to honour the WAVES. Registration is required so the class will prepare enough food. RSVP to dianne.gardner@glchs.ca by May 1. Please note if you have any dietary restrictions.

WAVES - The 2024 AGM for the WAVES will be May 25 at 10 am. It is an in person or Zoom meeting. If you plan to attend in person please let Dianne Gardner (dianne.gardner@glchs.ca) know as refreshments will be provided. The Zoom information is below.

Niagara Christian Gleaners
  1. We need your help to replenish our stash of baked goods! Our coffee breaks each morning are pretty valuable and it's just one more thing that makes serving at the Gleaners a wonderful experience. Our volunteers work up quite an appetite and the donations of home baking make such a difference. Having said that, our fridge and freezers are bare at the moment and so this note is a call-out for more home baking. If you are able to share some of your home baking with us, I'm certain that it will be well received. Please drop off at the Gleaners any weekday morning. Thanks and blessings to you.
  2. If you're able to help please use the signup link to let me know you're coming. Two simple steps and you're signed up!  Click this link https://signup.com/go/jFcJorb. Review the options listed and choose the spot(s) you like.
Newsletter - Attached is a newsletter from CityKidz. A printed copy will also be posted on the bulletin board between the washrooms.
