Baby News - Welcome to Teddy born on Sep 16 to Aidan & Jessie! A grandson for Rob & Wenonah and a great grandson for Ron.

Special Invitation - The Japan Mission Team invites you to join us at the Tintern Church Building (4359 Spring Creek Road) on tonight, Thursday, September 25 @ 7:00 pm. We’ll present a short drama that we’ll be sharing in Japan (Oct 2–16), followed by a brief presentation. Refreshments will be served. A freewill offering will be collected. Come enjoy an inspiring evening and support the Japan Mission Team!

GL Alumni & Friends Weekend - Join us at Great Lakes Christian High School for Alumni & Friends Weekend, Sept. 26–28, 2025. The weekend features fun activities, sports tournaments, the Homecoming Banquet on Saturday evening, and a worship service Sunday morning with guest speaker Nathan Pickard (Alumnus of the Year).

GLCHS Alumni Worship on Sun Sept 28 - We are looking forward to joining the worship service at Great Lakes on Sunday Sept 28 at 10:30am. Nathan Pickard will be speaking. Contact Noel, Margaret or one of the elders if you have any questions.

As a result there will be NO service held at the Tintern building on Sunday.
There will be parking at the Beamsville Church of Christ (4900 John St), which is within walking distance (approx. 15 minutes). If parking at GL please follow the instructions from those who will be directing traffic. Please note that there is very limited accessible parking at the rear doors of the gym.
Please hold onto your donations until the following week when we are back at the building.

WAVES - Apple Pie Fundraiser - If anyone is able, the BGT WAVES would like to send some homemade apple pies to Meaford for their sale. Frozen, uncooked pies are best. Sherry L has tinfoil pie plates if anyone needs them. Pies can be dropped off at Jim and Dianne's on October1st and Tina B will take them to Meaford. Any questions contact Sherry.

Alpha Marriage Course @ Tintern

Strengthen your marriage with The Marriage Course—a 7-week, date-night style series designed to help couples grow closer through meaningful conversations and practical tools.

When: Every other Sunday at 5pm (Oct 5, 19, Nov 2, 16)
Where: Tintern Church Building
What to Expect:

Dinner for two
Two short videos with guided private discussions
Dessert and time to connect
(Each evening lasts about 90 minutes to 2 hours)

Retreat Weekend: Nov 28–30 @ Hidden Acres Retreat Centre, Kitchener ON
The cost is $280/couple (includes two nights and meals).

Wellandport Church of Christ Gospel Meeting - The Wellandport Church of Christ invites you and your family to a Gospel Meeting Sunday thru Friday September 28- October 3, 2025. The guest speaker is Wilson Adams from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. More information in the flyer below.

Picture Bulletin Board - Thanks to those that have sent in their new pictures. New pictures are on the bulletin board with more to come. Margaret is still collecting family pictures to update our picture bulletin board.

Nonperishable Items - "Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God. Psalm 146:5-7(a) For the month of September we'll be collecting baby items (suggestions in the image below). All non-perishable items gladly accepted!

Participation - If you would like to participate in A/V ministry, song leading, praying, sharing communion thoughts, reading scripture, family time announcements or teaching/ helping in the Sunday School/Wednesday night program, please reply to this email or speak to Noel, Megan or Margaret.

We send you our love and the peace of Christ. Thank you for supporting us in so many ways and for calling your churches, missions ministries, and others to prayer on our behalf.

We want to share a prayer request.

Ken and Ai Hanasaki, a key young couple in the life of the church and our mission, and who has served in the leadership team over the last three and a half years recently moved to Tokyo for Ken's job. They recently discovered Ai has a brain tumor. She will be hospitalized Oct 1 (her birthday) to 3 for preliminary testing and treament, and then she is scheduled to have surgery on Nov 4.

This is shocking, and yet God's mercy is also evident. Ai finished her job, and is covered under Ken's health insurance. Being in Tokyo, they have access to, and are now receiving, some of the best medical care in the nation.

The Hanasakis were married here in Mito in October 2019, and they have 2 sons, Yuma (3 yrs) and Kanato (1 yr). We are attaching a picture of them.

Would you pray and be willing to ask your missions ministry, prayer ministry, pastoral and leadership teams, and/or the entire church to join with us at Mito church in interceding for the Hanasakis, and specifically for Ai?

We would be so grateful.

If anyone would like to send a prayer, scripture or message of encouragement, Hiro and I will be willing to forward it on to them.
