Advent Scripture Memorization Challenge - All families with kids received a keyring of 4 Christmas passages. Families are encouraged to memorize these passages with their kids over the month. This week's passage is Luke 1:68-71 from the NLT. If your kids memorize it by the end of the week, families are invited to post a video of their kids reciting it on the Tintern Kids Facebook page or share with Megan.
December Friday Night Connect - Our Progressive Dinner is tomorrow, (Friday, 13th)! Before noon tomorrow, Laurena will text all of the host families who will be their guests, and will text the guests where they are going for appetizers and mains. Everyone is invited to the dessert buffet at the Tallman Fireside Room (3275 King St, Vineland) immediately after the main meal. Appetizers are from 5:30-6; Mains are from 6-6:45; and Dessert is 6:45-7:45. (Times are estimates, due to travel times.) Great Holiday Food Drive - December 13th marks the 4th annual Region Wide Great Holiday Food Drive. Filling bags, barrels and busses never felt so good. Over the past few years many are facing challenges they never imagined possible. Job insecurity, the inability to provide basic needs for family, choosing between rent or food. From young families to the elderly living alone no one should go hungry. This year we are spreading holiday joy across all of Niagara. Every donation is important, every can and dollar make a difference. With your help we can make sure every child experiences holiday magic and no one goes hungry. Celebration of the Season -
- Below you'll find a copy of our invitation for this year's Celebration of the Season on December 22 @6pm. Invite your friends and family.
- Reminder to bring table ready fruit trays, veggie trays, appetizers, cheese and cracker trays and/or goodies to share. Reminder, if you do bring a food item that has nuts in it (no peanuts please!), please label that item. Also, if you bring any specialty food items (gluten free, dairy free etc.) please label those appropriately. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and other cold drinks will be available. We are looking forward to celebrating this special time together. Any questions contact Bethany or Margaret.

Picture Bulletin Board - It's time to update the family pictures on Tintern's picture bulletin board. Send Margaret a recent family photo. Could be from the summer or the fall or perhaps even during the upcoming holiday season.
Shelter Helps - Last March Roger & Catherine were able to go to El Salvador to help build homes. This was a very rewarding trip, and they are making plans to go again in March 2025. They've been challenged to raise funds among their friends to build a home. Giving More in 2024 - “Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.” Isaiah 58:10 For the month of December bring in some of your favourite non-perishable foods. Any non-perishable items gladly accepted!
