Update on Tereasa Mansfield - The prayer request has been updated on Tintern's Prayer Hub. If you would like to send Scott and Teresa some encouragement please contact Margaret for their address.
CCWN Christmas Hamper & Angel Program - Tintern has joined with CCWN to provide Christmas gifts and gift cards for those who are needing support. If you would like to participate please take a tag or two from the Christmas tree in the front foyer. Please do not wrap items. However, gift bags and tissue paper are gladly appreciated. ALL items must be returned to the Christmas tree by Wednesday December 4. Another option would be to make a cash donation to Margaret and she will purchase items from the tree. Thank you for helping Tintern Give More in 2024!!
INVITATION TO PRAY THIS SUNDAY - Prayer can sometimes feel like a very private thing for us. In fact, there are many places in the Bible where we are told to pray in quiet: “Here’s what I want you to do: Find a quiet, secluded place so you won’t be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense his grace." Mt 6:6 But we are also encouraged to pray together. “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another - Hebrews 10 OR “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people.” – 1 Timothy 2:1
PRAYING FOR EACH OTHER AND OUR WORLD IS IMPORTANT. Humbly, I feel sometimes there are a lot of prayers not being heard when we are together on Sundays. I suspect we all have matters of the heart that remain silent. In preparation for prayer time this Sunday, you will be invited to give a few brief words of a prayer request that is important to you that would benefit by the simple strength in Numbers.

Update on Jason, Cintia and Brian - Everyone is on their way back to Namwianga and will likely be there by the time you read this note. Let us thank God for his care in this case. Brian’s surgery was a success although he had a rough time the first few days. He will require recurring care for the rest of his life but for now everything went very well. It turns out that Cintia was not feeling well while they were there, and she also had surgery in South Africa. She had a cyst removed. While it is not a blessing to have a cyst, it was a blessing that she was able to have the surgery while in South Africa. Thank you, Lord, for these blessings.

GivingTuesday - GivingTuesday is a global movement dedicated to giving back. It’s a special day following Black Friday and Cyber Monday that shifts the focus from shopping to supporting. This movement celebrates generosity in all forms—whether it’s donating, volunteering, or simply spreading kindness to those in need. Great Lakes Christian High School is thrilled to participate in GivingTuesday for the fifth year in a row! This year we are raising money to further enhance our programs and provide exceptional opportunities for our students. Your support helps us continue our mission to equip students to seek, serve, and become like Christ.
